Ruby on Rails Developer
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: 6 Months +
The Platform Software Engineering team creates tools to power our clients' websites. Engineers on this team require a broad understanding of internet-based technologies. We customize and integrate existing software modules for the various platforms we support. Additionally, we integrate with third-party vendor services.
Requirements:
Experience with Ruby (MRI & JRuby, version 1.9.x), Rails (version 3.x), Javascript, MySQL (or comparable RDBMS), and NoSQL (Redis or MongoDB) knowledge is a plus
Experience with test-driven development
Experience in pair programming
Continuous integration at least five (5) years' experience designing and building consumer-facing software systems
Experience mentoring junior team members is also desired.
2 professional references of the Reporting Manager from latest projects highly desired.
