Bachelor's Degree is preferred 

• 3+ years' experience with Network Management Tools in an administrative/development capacity(experience with IBM Tivoli Net cool Suite).
• 3+ years' experience in developing properly normalized database schemas
• 4+ years' experience with support involving Databases including familiarity with schema design, security remediation and sizing.
• 3+ years' experience with development involving access to databases such as MS SQL, MySQL or Oracle
• 2+ years' experience with scripting languages such as PERL, PHP, Python, Shell Scripts, etc.
• 2+ years' experience working with Linux, windows systems and comfortable developing using a shell and 'vi'
• Experience with web development using a JavaScript framework such as YUI, JQuery, etc.
• Working knowledge with an array of networking equipment, their general functions, and how they interconnect
• Working knowledge of Network and/or Enterprise Management Systems (NMS/EMS) as a whole including common toolsets, protocols and their limitations, and commonly connected systems
• ITIL certification and/or firm understanding of its principles
• Understanding of common terms such as root cause analysis, correlation, event management vs. incident management, element management system, change control, etc.
• Toolset experience should include some of the following: Nations, IBM Net cool, HP Open View (NM), EMC SMARTS/Ionic, Cacti, Info Vista, Tivoli, What's Up Gold, Zeros, etc.
• Strong problem solving skills with the desire to find the root of a problem and propose solutions
• Ability to work with globally distributed team
• Ability to create diagrams detailing complex concepts as well as create documentation detailed enough for operations staff to use as a troubleshooting guide as well as high level enough to explain concepts to end users or higher levels of management
