seeking an exceptional and motivated Broadcast System Developer to support multiple ongoing and future projects. This position requires strong business system analysis skills, capability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs, ability to serve as a subject matter expert during development, test and deployment activities, and understanding the long-term technology and design goals.
Responsibilities:
• Document and review technical specifications with cross-functional teams
• Facilitate and lead design review sessions and technical discussions
• Responsible for code delivery, code reviews
• Support the project through entire development lifecycle from initial kick-off to production deployment
• Be a subject matter expert in the assigned functional domain
• Research emerging trends and technologies
• Proactively identify and suggest architectural improvements in as-is Systems
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Computer Science), Master's degree preferred
• 5+ years relevant experience as a Developer a fast paced development environment
• Strong experience of development on Java/J2EE platforms, Service Oriented architecture, databases[Oracle or SQL] and web services.
• Experience of working on High Availability, Large scale complex systems is preferred
• Knowledge of distributed databases such as MongoDB & Cassandra is preferred
• Good Domain knowledge on Broadcast service platforms such as Guide, Listing, program web services.
• Understanding of software development methodologies and structured approaches to system development is required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to tailor communication to the target audience to achieve desired results
