Job Title: Application / C# .Net Architect

Location: Greenville, SC

Duration: 6-12 Months

Job Description:

Define the overall architectural direction of new products as it relates to new software modules and enhancements to existing code. Where possible, create solutions that integrate and leverage the best in class infrastructure within the technology domain.

• Participate in evaluation of industry best practices and emerging technologies to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating other capabilities.
• Serve as technical lead for design definition and activities related to core architectural and software components of the software. Work with product development team to develop scalable applications.
• Define and approve application standards and specifications; provide oversight for definition of product content and ensure that developers are informed about technology component and usage.
• Handle complications arising from the development of new software.
• Communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale to Sr. Staff and peers (both technical and non-technical) to invoke discussion and acceptance of ways to drive efficiencies.
• Ensure the overall integrity of the software architecture.
• Work with internal associates to identify business challenges and deliver solutions for identified opportunities.
• Develop work plans for projects as assigned.
• Assist in training new associates both within department and within business units.
• Complete all required documentation to meet department standards.
• Serve as project leader when needed.
• Adhere to privacy and confidential and proprietary company policies and procedures.
• Participate in any/all training and educational activities necessary to fulfill at least the minimum requirements as specified within departmental goals. This is in addition to, the completion of any activities necessary for the maintenance of professional affiliations or organizational requirements.
• As required by changing business needs, complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Work with Data Architects and Software Development teams to develop next generation SaaS applications that scale easily and perform very well.
• Understands software at every level of n-tier architecture.

Experience & Background:

• Eight or more years of application architecture and/or system analysis and development experience.
• Software experience required: C#, Java, Visual Basic, T-SQL
• Candidate must demonstrate experience in delivery of complex systems in a wide range of technologies and must have experience with Windows, UNIX, SQL, DB2, .Net, SOA, Web Services, Highly Scalable Architecture and systems.
• Ability to independently translate business requirements analysis into technical design specifications and development.
• Experience with full software lifecycle (requirements, analysis, design, construction, and testing).
• Familiarity with application architecture components.
• Must be conversant in current industry architectural standards and best practices and able to drive technical/architectural vision.
• Experience in construction industry software development a plus.
