Title: Network Architect

Location: El Segundo, CA

Duration: 6-12 months

 

Job Details:

The Architect is expected to design and review custom requirements as part of global customers solutions.
The ideal candidate should be self-driven and have a good experience in the ISP and Enterprise Data networks in the area of network design and planning.

The candidate must have strong;
• Minimum 8-9 years' experience in Network Service Provider industry.
• Extensive exposure on Service Provider environment
• Hands on  Design  experience on CRS, ASR9K platforms
• Very Strong concepts on;
o  EGP & IGP Routing Protocols like BGP, IS-IS, OSPF.
o  Very Strong on Multicast Routing Protocols such as PIM-SM, PIM-SSM, MSDP, PIM-BSR etc.
o Cisco/F5 expertise, QOS, IP multicast, Network security

The candidate also should have decent understanding on;
• Data Centre Switches includes : Nexus 2K/5K/6K/7K  Series, Cisco 65xx and other 35xx
• Load Balancer's: F5, Brocade.
• Understanding on the Network security features
• MPLS VPNs technologies
• Layer 2 Technologies such as Spanning Tree, Rapid Spanning Tree, Resilient Ethernet Protocol, VCCP etc., Mac in Mac ( PBB 802.1ah), (PB 802.1ad)
• Fair understanding on the traditional service provider technologies.

Desirables:
• Fair understanding on the traditional service provider technologies will be an added advantage
Soft Skills Requirements:
• Ability to present topics in a clear and concise manner to many levels of technical skill sets for varying audience
• Good Training skills.
• Good presentation
• Effective collaboration and teaming with multiple internal teams

Certifications:
A) CCIE R&S or SP certification.
Candidate will be working with technology experts in a number of areas in the Telecommunications industry, interact with OEM vendors such as Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, and F5 etc., to provide solutions to the leading Media Service Provider.  This job requires good technical skills along with the Media domain knowledge's.

 

 

Title: Project Coordinator

Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: 9 months

 

Job Details:

Track and manage client and corporate funded projects of the Immersive and Multipurpose TelePresence services.

• Provide Project Management and Analytical services to support TelePresence installations.

• Evaluate, define, recommend, execute on TelePresence implementation work for the global Cisco user base which are in line with the vision that meets with business needs, increasing the impact, effectiveness and functionality of the organizations various TelePresence Projects.

• Communicate options and ideas to best meet the implementation project objectives based on Cisco Brand and be fully compliant with all Cisco policies/standards for implementation.

• Present information to key stakeholders Identify barriers and develop alternative solutions regarding TelePresence projects, information and reporting Coordinate with other team members to provide quality reports and analysis

• Work with process automation team to streamline end user facing provisioning and configuration tools

• Rollout of new capability & enhancements to the Immersive and Multipurpose TelePresence services.

• Work with UCVS Operations to create plan for lowering high volume service cases and identifying root cause.

• Delivery of projects aligned to service & program roadmap in Q1 FY14 and beyond.

• Manage schedule, dependencies and critical path assessment, tracking and reporting.

• Provide project updates, stakeholder updates, end user communications, technical analysis, support training.

• Participate in the planning stages and assist in the execution of TelePresence implementation

• Support logistics and communicate with involved cross functional teams

• Work with the Service Manager, Partners and Technology Support Teams to collect requirements and implement tasks to meet objectives.

• Manage weekly implementation objectives and requirements, translating them into detailed, actionable project deliverables.

• Participate in various implementation meetings, review requirements, analysis, and initiatives; provide recommendations as needed

• Analyze operations data, understand issues and provide resolutions as needed

• Work with x-functional teams and manage the implementation of TelePresence end points, IP Surveillance infrastructure & Visitor/Employee Badging solution into Cisco lobbies.

• Work with x-functional teams to continuously improve and scale the implementation of the TelePresence based Virtual Assistant solution.

• Participate in BU led technical meetings, testing, validation, training

• support the Early Field Trial TelePresence implementations

• Work with project managers and operations team for new product introduction to Cisco IT infrastructure.

• Testing and validation of new solution releases, capabilities and rollout in production infrastructure.

• Troubleshooting issues with video end points

• Deliver project status, Microsoft Project Plan, and associated project deliverables (RACI, PowerPoint Presentation – Executive Overview, timeline/roadmaps)

• Work on IT service communications: Work with cross functional teams to gather project status and make executive facing presentations

• Proactively work with cross functional teams to enhance communications – bi-weekly project communications in email / power point templates

• Engaged at high level in multiple cross-functional projects: consolidate and report status

• Work with process automation team to streamline end user facing provisioning and configuration tools

• Maintain service dashboard, updates on WebEx Social.

• Monitor user feedback alias and provide responses, solutions, and updates.

• Provide service updates, stakeholder updates, end user communications, technical analysis, and support training.

• Track utilization across all TelePresence end points and work with service managers to report metrics

• Ability to Create Business Requirement Documents

• Work with process automation team to streamline end user facing provisioning and configuration tools, enhance metrics reporting to include IP phones metrics and utilization data

• Work with support teams for support case reporting.

 

Detailed Role and Responsibilities.

·         Provided troubleshooting and technical support in all aspects of Video related platforms. This included diagnosing and resolving device and configuration issues, determining bandwidth capacities and network limitations, providing hardware RMAs, bench testing devices, and other individualized cases.

·         Managed expectations and set priorities by communicating with cross-functional teams and clients to implement the full range of Cisco TelePresence products, ranging from immersive room-scale endpoints to customized, one-off solutions.

·         Advocated strategic initiatives, leveraged key resource commitments, and influenced decision-making to successfully complete projects on a beginning to end basis: defined tasks, organized work structures, initiated roles and responsibilities, and assessed scheduling and billing parameters.

·         Led and planned multi-purpose projects and room deployments on a comprehensive start to finish basis. Liaised and aligned support services and partners over the full breadth of the project, ranging from initial client consultation phases to the installation and configuration of a unit. Finalized projects via acceptance validations and release tests with Operations.
