Looking for an experienced senior mobility solutions application developer to lead design and contribute to the system development and implementation of mobile application projects in our business unit and client-facing application platforms.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Analyze, design, develop, and implement new systems in various environments

• Develop SQL Queries, create database objects, import export utilities, functions,

triggers, views, procedures, and packages – all in SQL Server

• Design and develop applications using .NET 4.0, ASP.NET, C#.NET, Entity Framework

• Experience writing WCF (SOAP-based) and RESTful web services

Requirements :

Position Summary:  Will be part of a software development engineering team responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, integrating, testing, implementing, and leading new and existing application software programs.

 

Major Duties:

  • Provide  software development expertise in developing a cross-service provisioning platform.
  • Analyzes requirements, designs and develops software applications in client/server environment and/or web deployed applications.
  • Interacts with end users to gather requirements and scope the systems.
  • Implement code  harmonization and adapt best practices in application development.
  • Co-ordinate unit, integration, and system test procedures.

Requirements :


  • 7+ years experience with designing, deploying, and operating enterprise systems with applications using Microsoft platform.
  • 5+ years of experience with architecting, deploying, optimizing  web/e-Commerce applications using the Microsoft stack as a .Net Developer/Architect
  • 3+ years demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience using modern website availability and performance monitoring tools, both cloud-based and servers based, such as CatchPoint, Adobe Omniture.
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps with deployment of code in production and/or lower environments (Development, QA, Integration). Experience with optimization of the deployment of code using tools such as Web Deploy, Team City, Puppet, or scripting such as Powershell.
  • Understanding of .Net framework 4.0/4.5, C#, ASP.Net, WCF, Rest, CSS, SOAP, Javascript, MVC, JSON, CMS.
  • Experience troubleshooting SOA Applications.
  • Experience with CMS Operations including deploying and troubleshooting.  Improving  availability and performance a plus.  Familiarity with Sitecore CMS (Content Management System) a plus.

  • Job Title : JDE System Administrator

    Rate : DOE

    Location : Carol Stream, IL

    Requirements :


    -They need a jr. systems admin (3 years is plenty) to help them with this migration to JD Edwards.

    -The two MUSTS are JDE experience and someone who is able to be onsite 100% of the time.

    -Being a part of a similar migration is a plus but not required.

    -Right now they are looking at a contract going through Sept/Oct but could be extended longer than that.

    -This person will be joining 3-4 people who are spearheading this project.

    -The person will need to speak on the phone with the Director of IS and her right hand person who this role will be reporting to, then a decision will be made.

    -Some of the main tasks this person will be responsible for are application security, end of cycle, printer cues, job set ups, etc. during the implementation.

    The Software Quality Engineer is responsible for overall quality assurance throughout the application development cycle for their functional area. Through the leadership provided by the Software Quality Assurance Manager, the Software Quality Analyst will partner with the development team for overall code quality.
    Validation of Quality Applications 
    • Participate in developing and documenting User Stories, including testing estimates and validation tests
    • Create tests – ideally up-front but on a just-in-time basis per feature if needed
    • Analyze the product features, and the product as a whole, to ensure it behaves as intended
    • Ensure that components and features are complete, based on the customer definition of "done"
    • Execute tests and improve iteratively as new features become part of regression and other test cycles
    • Develop, document, and maintain the test cycles, tests and test steps for software, services and hardware
    • Ensure the appropriate test environments are in place and controlled
    • Ensure that software development, defect and release procedures are documented and followed
    • Work with Reliability and Development teams to manage developer and production release of software
    • Participate in developer integration, system integration, and acceptance testing with other team members to ensure all areas of the application are fully tested and issues are clearly logged and prioritized consistently
    • Provide manual and automated exploratory testing to understand the feature and how it is implemented, to find additional or unexpected behavior, and to refine and define additional test cases for the feature
    • Automate individual tests where applicable in collaboration with other SQA team members
    • Ensure tests are executed within the automated continuous testing framework wherever feasible
    • Ensure all non-functional requirements (load, performance, scalability, security, usability, etc.) are met
    • Manage the defect log and ensure issues are resolved, including validation of the fix
    • Certify software functionality for new Production releases, including publishing Defect and Test metrics
