Multimedia Developer
Qualifications:
• BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field
• Strong programming skills in C, C++, or JAVA
• Interested in photography, videography, audio and personal media
• Experience in developing software in one or more of the following areas: mobile application development (either Android or iOS), native applications and framework for Android, the Linux kernel and device drivers, parallel computing and Halide
• Background in one of more of the following topic areas: image/video processing, computational photography, image quality analysis and tuning (of CMOS sensors, ISP image pipeline etc.), image/video compression (JPEG, H.264/HEVC, VP8/VP9), real-time communication (WebRTC etc), audio signal processing (like NS, AEC, AGC and BF), computer vision and machine learning
• Experience with embedded system software development
• Good understanding on multi-process and multi-thread programming
• Experience building demos and quick prototypes is a big plus
Responsibilities:
• Design and build camera and video apps for the Android platform
• Enhance the Android framework to optimize performance of * multimedia features
• Collaborate with * Hardware teams to evaluate/design hardware chips
• Collaborate with vendors on developing optimized hardware acceleration codes on multimedia
• Develop libraries, APIs and documentation for third-party developers
• Prototype for advanced camera/computer vision features
