Lotus Notes developer 

Location:   Cedar Rapids, IA

Duration:   6+ months

 

POSITION: 
In this position your responsibilities will include application error diagnosis, error remediation design, development, documentation, testing and release in a team environment working with minimal supervision.

 

Current Team goals include:
•Diagnose, repair and release application fixes that respond to customers' error reports and enhancement requests
•Respond to customer needs quickly and efficiently
•Educate our customers about our environment and tools and how they can best use these tools

Specific responsibilities include:
•Support existing IBM Lotus Domino applications through their lifetime
•Support existing IBM Lotus Domino application server agents, Lotus Notes client user interfaces and browser interfaces
•Leverage existing databases and templates to quickly provide solutions to business needs
•Work with internal customers to analyze and diagnose application problems and provide remediation plans
•Use common IBM Lotus Domino application development tools and techniques to deliver solutions according to remediation plans
•Interface with and support messaging infrastructure personnel in the same department (e.g., agents, database functionality questions)
•Support existing Acxeler Notrix data transfer configurations
•Use our BMC Remedy Helpdesk application
•Assist in various training and communications related activities for users and developers


REQUIRED:
•Candidate must have significant experience in most facets of IBM Lotus Domino application development, up to and including IBM Lotus Notes 8.5, including:
•Experience and mastery of Lotus Notes Formula language and LotusScript
•Experience and mastery of HTML and Javascript 
•Significant experience with IBM Lotus Domino development enabling applications to be used with a client and a web browser
•Capable of performing in accordance with mature Software Development Lifecycle and Systems Engineering processes
•Capable of working with limited supervision in a telecommuting arrangement
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
•Experience with Web Services, Java, XPages, CSS, XML, XSLT and the Prototype and Dojo Javascript frameworks
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
