Job Description:
Position: Software Performance Engineer
Duration: 6 Months + (rollover after)
Location: Cambridge, MA
Required Skills/Experience:
1. 5+ years of benchmark testing, performance analysis using industry standard benchmarks
2. Experience with agile software practices and managing work across more than one project
3. BS Software Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience
4. Ability to analyze and interpret technical data
5. Ability to identify and resolve system bottlenecks
6. Ability to identify potential limitations in software architectures
7. Understanding of performance monitoring counters such as throughput, latency, memory and CPU utilization
8. Working knowledge of C, C++ and/or Java
9. Familiarity with Intellij IDE, Git, Gradle and Sonar
10. Familiarity with application performance monitoring and instrument tools such as AQTime for C/C++ and/or NewRelic for Java
11. Familiar with automation testing tools such as TEST/NG and Selenium
12. Familiarity with software deployment process and tools such as Jenkins
13. Strong knowledge of load generation /measurement software JMeter
14. Ability to write clear and concise technical documents
