Web Application UI developer

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Duration: 2+ months

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Participate as a technical expert in design, development, testing, and debugging new system modules or enhancements to existing application

·         Analyze problems and provides recommendations for application improvements

·         Help design and develop solutions to solve problems considering software/hardware capacity and limitations, operating time and desired results

·         Work with infrastructure and peers to determine implementation details for enhancements and applications

·         Partner with business to come up with application/solution designs

·         Work with a team to create project estimates based on business requirements

·         Expected to provide a work breakdown of projects and enhancements

·         Expected to participate in complete project lifecycle up to and including project implementation and work well within a team environment

·         Provide technical guidance as needed in the requirements, planning, modeling, development, deployment and support of the system

·         Establish and maintain working relationships with internal business customers, internal IT support groups and vendors to achieve project goals

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Undergraduate degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS or Engineering/Technology or related field or equivalent experience/training

·         7+ years of development experience

·         Excellent knowledge client side web technologies, including HTML, CSS and Javascript

·         Knowledge of RESTful principles and experience using REST APIs

·         Experience building applications with AngularJS framework

·         Knowledge of responsive web application design principles. Experience with Bootstrap framework is a plus.

·         Experience with a variety of technologies including: UNIX, Windows, SQL, Java, IntelliJ/Netbeans/Eclipse, Tomcat

·         Ability to effectively meet deadlines and prioritize projects in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment

·         Must be well organized, thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment, leverage best practices, and most importantly, innovate through any problem with a can-do attitude

·         Proficient in MS Office applications

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Airline business systems knowledge a plus
