Load Balancing Engineer

Load Balancing Engineer for Citrix NetScaler, F5 GTM, F5 LTM products - HDQ (DFW)
· Load Balancing Engineer with hands-on experience on Citrix NetScaler as well as F5 BIG-IP GTM and LTM. This highly dynamic position will interact with application teams across American Airlines engineer, document, and support load balancing solutions unique tthe application requirements.
· The Load Balancing Engineer will be an expert in the Citrix NetScaler and F5 Load Balancing platforms, must have integration/configuration/administration experience, and possess a solid Network background including an understanding of switch, network routing, and firewall concepts.
· The Load Balancing Engineer must possess very strong troubleshooting skills as well as a strong TCP understanding as it pertains packet inspection and TCP flow in the Network and Application flows.
· The Load Balancing Engineer must have a very good understanding of DNS functionality and concepts as it relates tIPv4 and IPv6.
Education/Experience
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field preferred, equivalent experience is acceptable
· 10+ years IT experience required, minimum 4 years in Load Balancing technology and DNS
Responsibility level
· Team player that exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor
· Coordinates multiple managed service providers using standardized engagements complete work in various environments including Production environments
· Coordinates with Citrix and/or F5 vendors during issue resolution
· Interacts with multiple internal application teams create customized load balancing solutions
Skills
· Extensive knowledge of Load balancing technology including algorithms and health check options
· Extensive knowledge and experience with hosting SSL certificates on Citrix NetScaler and F5 platforms
· Extensive knowledge of Citrix NetScaler VIP configuration with health check
· Knowledge and experience with Citrix NetScaler responder policy configuration
· Knowledge and experience with Citrix NetScaler Access Gateway configurations
· Knowledge and experience with Citrix NetScaler content switching configurations
· Extensive knowledge and experience regarding F5 BIG-IP LTM VIP configuration with health check
· Extensive knowledge and experience with F5 BIG-IP GTM Wide IP configuration
· Knowledge and experience with F5 BIG-IP iRule programming and troubleshooting experience
· Candidate MUST have extensive experience working in structured change management processes for highly available enterprise networks
· Candidate MUST have production environment experience consisting of Global load balancing, Local load balancing, SSL acceleration, HTTP compression/caching, and DNS
· Candidate MUST have strong Networking Experience - TCP/IP, Administration of networking hardware
· Candidate MUST have design and maintenance experience with complex Web hosting network architectures
· Candidate MUST have experience building and configuring major Internet host/network services including but not limited to: Web (http, SSL, etc.), Mail (sendmail, etc.), DNS, NFS, NIS/NIS+, Automounter, Databases (Oracle, SQL, etc.) and Java
· Experience directly managing routers, switches, load balancers and SSL accelerators in a high-availability infrastructure is required
· Expert knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, development, testing and delivery
· Expert understanding of TCP as it pertains packet inspection and network/application flows
· Expert ability troubleshoot issues and make recommendations for system changes, as needed, resolve issues
· Will be expected provide documentation describing projects, deliverables and timelines
· Will be expected report on project status
· Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
· Expert ability work independently and manage one's time
· Expert mentoring skills necessary provide support and constructive performance feedback
Autonomy Engineer (TeamSite / LiveSite)
Duration: 6+ months
Location: Ft. Worth, TX
· This candidate will be a member of the Enterprise Web Content Management team and will share responsibility for the development and support of HP/Autonomy products implemented at AA. The candidate will serve as a subject matter expert for Autonomy LiveSite and work closely with internal customers and team members tdevelop solutions using LiveSite Display Services and LiveSite Content Services.
Required Skills: (MUST possess these required skills tbe considered)
· Strong technician with solid experience implementing Content Management solutions utilizing the Autonomy suite of products.
· Candidate must be a team player whworks and communicates well with technical and non-technical resources. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and possess the ability twork with limited direction while being highly productive.
· ABSOLUTELY MUST have LiveSite Development experience
· Design and Develop SitePublisher components
· Design and Develop SitePublisher rules
· MUST have deployed tLiveSite Content Services and LiveSite Display Services
· TeamSite Development experience in TeamSite 6.7.x t7.x
· Development of complex workflows using Workflow Modeler
· Implementing custom roles and menu options
· Design and Develop FormsPublisher templates using FormAPI, in-line callouts and CGI callouts
· OpenDeploy configuration
· Configuration in n-tier architecture
· Directory comparison, File List, Parameter, and reverse based deployments
· A working knowledge of JEE technologies.
· Some Windows administration
Preferred Skills:
· Taxonomy
· Installation and administration experience with TeamSite, SitePublisher, LiveSite Content Services, and LiveSite Display Services
· TeamSite Search
· IDOL Search
· XSLT experience.
· Some database design and SQL knowledge with Oracle, SQL Server, or some other RDBMS.
· Windows Virtual Server experience.
