Developer- Object oriented programmer

Location: Ft. Worth (Dallas) TX

Location: 1 year

 

Summary: Successful applicants will be joining the Flight Hub team which is part of American Airlines' Flight Operations and Crew Technology group.

Flight Hub is the data and service integration platform for American Airlines Operations domain fulfilling the role of service bus. Team members are responsible for both development and enhancement of integration services and platform using a variety of development tools offering an opportunity to obtain significant integration, JEE, web service and message-oriented middleware experience.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Analyze system requirements, design, and document solutions using specified tools and methodologies.

·         Integrate components of a large system under development to meet functional requirements.

·         Application integration development using approved languages, tools and platforms.

·         Maintain and enhance existing services, applications and platform.

·         Perform testing across levels of software development lifecycle - Test Driven Development, unit, system, integration, and non-functional testing.

·         Participate in promotion of software releases across all environments and change management.

·         Employ agile methodology to perform all tasks (requirements capture, test driven development, continuous integration, testing, etc.).

·         Support production issues on call.

 

Qualifications:

·         Education/Experience:

·         Degree in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of experience.

·         Strong technical, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.

·         Able to deliver high quality solutions in area of competence with minimal guidance.

·         Ability to be flexible and focused to deliver products with different priorities and timelines.

·         Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of multiple application areas.

·         Effective verbal, written and presentation skills.

·         Self-motivated, responsible, conscientious, and detail-oriented.

·         Ability to work both independently and in conjunction with a team.

·         Experience in testing and debugging of integration components.

 

Primary Skills:

·         Strong knowledge of Object Oriented design and implementation including design patterns using Java.

·         Strong integration design and development skills using technologies such as Java/JEE, Spring, WebSphere MQ, JMS and Maven.

·         Experience with updating and/or maintaining airline integration systems, preferably in the crew operations domain.

·         Experience with Enterprise Application Integration (SOA, ESB), focusing on legacy application integration and migration.

·         Ability to function in a Linux/Unix environment using shell commands. Scripting is a plus.

 

Secondary Skills:

·         Experience with SOAP Web services development, JPA, relational data bases (Oracle), SQL.

·         Knowledge of WebSphere Message Broker and WebSphere application Server.

·         Knowledge of Application development and testing methodologies such as SOLID and TDD/BDD, and tools such as Emma and Jenkins.

 

 

Information Security Analyst

Location: TX

Duration: 6 months

 

Job Description

·         Reporting to the Manager Information Security, the successful candidate will work as a member of and provide operational support for AA Credit Union Information Security department. This position will emphasize user interaction and requires a reasonable level of technical knowledge. The Information Security Analyst will perform in the following ways:

·         Audit and monitor production system logs for unauthorized transactions and intrusions.

·         Assist in performing security risk assessments and disaster recovery/business continuity planning.

·         Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing administration of the company's information security policies, procedures, and guidelines and related documentation.

·         Provide analysis and recommendations for information security configuration to IT Project Managers.

·         Perform administrative functions to complete required tasks including recording issues into tracking system, checking voicemail/email, and documenting processes and issues.

·         Actively promote security awareness programs within the company.

·         On-call work (24x7) is required to respond to critical issues outside of business hours and some limited business travel is required.

·         Provide detailed verbal and written communication to management and peers.

·         Manage multiple projects with competing priorities including leading projects to install new security applications and technologies.

·         Other duties as assigned.

 

·         Candidate must ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all account information and Credit Union documents, data, and assets. Candidate is responsible for assuring that all work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and must have a good credit rating, which will be verified.

 

Required Attributes:

·         Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills coupled with written and verbal communication skills are essential. Must be adaptable, capable and comfortable working on multiple concurrent projects with conflicting priorities in a high-tempo and dynamic environment. Candidate must possess a strong team mentality and willingness to work collaboratively with others. Satisfactory performance and attendance are required.

 

·         The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of information security experience that includes:

·         A 4 year degree, in Business or an IT Discipline, from an accredited University is strongly preferred.

·         Must be able to read, write, and fluently speak and understand the English language.

·         Industry certification such as; CISSP, MCITP, CISA, MCSE, or GIAC preferred.

·         Understanding of networking and communication techniques including WANs, LANs, Internet, Intranets, and protocols such as TCP, UDP, and IPSEC.

·         Ability to create and analyze system logs and network traffic captures from a security perspective; including anomalous traffic, intrusions, elimination of false positives, and recommendations for event tuning, using appropriate tools.

·         Security experience with networking technologies including, but not limited to routers, switches, and firewalls.

·         Understanding of industry best practices including ISO 17799/13335, NIST, COBIT, SANS, etc.

·         Experience developing, implementing and communicating security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.

·         Subject matter expertise (3+ years  experience) in at least two technology-related disciplines; intrusion detection, antivirus, data loss protection, access controls, perimeter security, internet filtering, LDAP systems, Active Directory, Exchange, MS SQL, etc.

·         Ability to communicate, both written and verbal, with a variety of end users possessing a range of technological skills.
