[13768MSCRMCV] HOT REQ: FUNCTIONAL BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST, Los Angeles, CA

FUNCTIONAL BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST

Duration: 6 Months plus.

Los Angeles, CA

(credit check, criminal background check and fingerprinting will be required post offer and before starting)

This role is for a Senior Business Analyst

Does not want to see candidates who are heavy entertainment, healthcare or manufacturing.  If they have some experience in those industries, it's not a show stopper (unless it's the most recent job), but I will not submit candidates who's primary industry experience is one of those.  Financial services of any kind will work, including investments, mortgage, banking, or insurance.

Most important is someone is who an analytical thinker who can help business users solve problems (ask candidates, tell me about a time when…..?).

******Ask them about what they did, how they did it and why they did it that way.  If they are not very detailed in their answers and don't know the how AND the why, they will not get past the first phone screen.*******

Wants someone who has experience delivering IT solutions to the business, someone who has strong documentation (some candidates will have samples and that's a good sign)

We need someone who is strong on requirements (BRD's), process documentation, workflows, matrices and has worked on technology implementations before.

They are a Waterfall shop so this person will need to have strong experience with that methodology.

Culturally, this person must be quick on their feet, confident yet humble and able to juggle multiple projects at a time.

There is no one definitive project this person will be tied to, but this group does not work on traditional technology projects.  They analyze what the business needs, what solutions will serve those needs best and then hand off the actual implementations to the IT department.  The ideal fit is someone who has spent some time as a "consultant" where they were addressing strategic business problems (someone out of Bain, McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, PWC [Price Waterhouse Coopers], or BearingPoint would be great).

Thanks & regards
