Required Qualifications:

·                                 Minimum (5) five years of extensive hands-on experience with project management as the project manager with full accountability and financial responsibility

·                                 Minimum (5) five years of IT experience in one or more technical roles

·                                 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

·                                 Experience with preparing project documentation such as detailed requirements

·                                 Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with management, end users and project team members

·                                 Ability to interact effectively with technical personnel and with a wide variety of technical resources

·                                 Ability to translate and communicate technical concepts, information, plans, and procedures to both technical personnel and non-IT business users

·                                 Knowledge and demonstrated ability to conduct detailed planning, and to perform risk assessments and their associated risk mitigation actions

·                                 Knowledge of the related IT standards and software (i.e., Microsoft office-Excel, Word, PowerPoint, project management tools)

·                                 Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, and the ability to interact with senior level healthcare executives

·                                 Capacity to communicate complex technology concepts to non-technical healthcare centric audiences as well as program and business priorities to technical audiences

·                                 Ability to multi-task and flexibly adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

·         Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate

• Experience with Health Insurance, Eligibility, and Claims Payments systems
• Experience with quality assurance tools such as Clear Quest and Test Manager
• Broad experience in a number of healthcare environments (acute, long-term, pediatric, group home, etc.)
• Experience leading Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) projects at the state level
• Knowledge of the MITA program, its goals, and how states use the program to develop their IT systems
• Prior experience with and working knowledge of the goals and services provided by the DPH hospitals, the Department of Disability Services (DDS), and the Department of Mental Health (DMH)
• Prior experience leading Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) centric projects with a special emphasis on Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
