Responsibilities:
Participation in the design and development of decision support system for airline operations
Design and develop UI Screens using Eclipse & SWING-Help port a Java/SWING application to Eclipse RCP/SWT.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
· 4+ years developing Java User interface with Swing
· Experience with designing User interfaces
· Good communication skills - both verbal and written Strongly Desired:
· Experience with SWT (Standard Widget toolkit) in the Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP) Experience developing graphical editors.
This developer will be working on a small team to develop new functionality for a mission critical application for Delta's Operation Control Center
· They will be responsible for meeting all project deadines
· Transform business requirements into an application that is compliant with Delta enterprise standards.
· Develop appropriate software and documentation according to standards.
· Work with application architect to ensure quality design
· Support and troubleshoot computer systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing timely follow up on all problems.
· Follow standards and methodologies in the development and implementation of computer software. *May perform other duties as assigned.
Four years' Experience with the following:
UI Design: Experience developing graphical editors
Collaboration: Must be able to thrive in a team setting. No oversized egos.
Communication: Excellent, concise written communication is required. Must have excellent verbal communication
Dedication: You need to do what it takes to deliver without messing up team chemistry.
Detail-Oriented: This software will run Delta's worldwide operations and it has to be developed right the first time
Ability to Meet Deadlines: The deadline for this effort will be aggressive but not unreasonable but will need to be met.
GUI Design: Design and develop UI Screens using Eclipse & SWING
Programming: -Help port a Java/SWING application to Eclipse RCP/SWT.
Self-Starter: The other developers/tech lead will be helpful but we need a real go-getter who can and will figure
Meeting deadlines: This will be a collaborative effort and missed deadlines impact the team. Must be able to meet deadline
