Hello to all!
We have our next monthly meeting coming up in a few weeks and then the next one after that, and we have good speakers for both meetings.
On Saturday, September 14th, UCF professor and UNA-Orlando board member will discuss the current state of the Middle East. On Saturday, October 12th, Bill Ferree, the author of "Empty Tank Empty Wallet: For Those Who Don't Own an Oil Well," will discuss climate change and the impact current climate trends have on our daily lives.

And then, if you haven't heard already, we will commemorate UN Day on October 26th at the East Campus of Valencia College. Details of this event can also be found at www.una-orlando.org, which will be updated regularly as we move closer to the event.
Besides our monthly meetings and our UN Day commemoration, we will also be involved in several activities that have opportunities to volunteer and get involved. Among all the opportunities available, one is to participate in the weeks prior to and during the Global Peace Film Festival. If this interests you, send me an e-mail at dvoconnor@gmail.com.
