Position : Business Analyst
Location : New York
Duration : 3-6 Months
Client's is looking for an experience business analyst from the financial services/insurance industry with experience in the traditional business analysis discipline as well as experience with process mapping and re-design. Background with rating agencies and/or financial products is preferred.
Major Job Objectives
· Work as part of a larger project team to document the current state of an organization, architecture, and business processes. Assist in maintaining project documentation including meeting minutes, diagrams and schematics, process maps.
· Define project vision, features, and develop user stories
Desired Skills & Experience
Job Requirements
· At least 5 years of experience as hands-on business analyst
· Experience as a consultant is preferred but not required
· Expertise with documenting requirements, functional specifications, process mapping, process re-design
· Strong systems integration experience
· Experience with data analysis, data programs
· Expertise in relational data models, meta data a plus
· Experience with Agile methodologies a plus
· Demonstrated proficiency with Visio and Microsoft Office suite of products
· Proficiency with Version 1 a plus

· Practical and pragmatic
· Strong critical and analytical thinking
· Adaptable and flexible in approach, deliverables, and relationships
· Quality orientation
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Effective presentation skills
