Job Role: Mainframe tester

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Duration: 1+ Year Local Only

Face 2 Face required after telephonic one

Job Requirements

·        Experience with mainframe testing

·        Experience with load and performance testing a plus

·        Track record of meeting deadlines and delivering high quality results

·        Attention to detail and a passion for software quality

·        Strong analytic and problem solving skills

·        Self-motivated, with ability to work on multiple projects/tasks with limited direction, and apply good judgment and decision-making skills.

·        Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to communicate professionally and proactively with business partners.

·        Ability to work effectively as part of a large or small cross-functional team

·        Ability to mentor others on QA best practices

·        Should be ready to put extra effort and to help other team members

·        Open to late evening and weekend work to accomplish the given tasks if needed

·        Must be a team player, quick responsiveness, contributor, coordinator, cooperative, understanding, polite and adaptive to accept changes in a complex changing environment and must be willing to accept direction from seniors, colleagues and management.

Technical Competency

·        Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Equivalent work experience may be accepted

·        Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent.

·        3-5 Years experience in Mainframe environments (TSO and ROSCOE) with solid Experience in:

·        Assembler

·        Job schedulers, SAS, FileAid

·        JCL, Copybooks, flat files,VSAM and other file systems

·        Cobol

·        DB2 or other Mainframe DMBS

Technical focus on software quality assurance
