Job Description:
Position Summary
This position will perform SQL Development and implementation of Enterprise Data warehouse system and Data Integration, the revision of existing systems, and supporting of Database & ETL projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Design, develop, modify, or enhance applications based on formal or informal specs
• Develop testing data (unit testing, test-driven) for departmental systems
• Thoroughly develop, debug, test and document systems
• Estimate, document, review and evaluate system/project requirements and specifications, highlighting potential technical problems or obstacles
• Work with data & business analysts or end users to gather project requirements, analyze needs and process flow and develop user-oriented solutions
• Analyze the existing operational & analytical system applications and maintenance.
• Work within a team environment offering assistance, advice and technical expertise to peers with programming problems, design issues or other technical problems
• Interact regularly with management, clients and incumbents to constantly improve Application Programming services
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
• Strong experience in T-SQL Development with MS-SQL Server 2012/2008 R2
• Strong experience in creating database objects such as tables, indexes, stored procedures, functions, triggers and writing complex queries
• Strong SSIS and development of dynamic packages (2012) with work/data flow tools
• Knowledge of data warehouse techniques, methods, logging, and dimensional modeling
• ETL development and data integration between multiple varying data sources
• Experience with SSAS development and administration
• Experience with data mapping, validation & profiling, data marts, BI tools and reports
• Strong Experience in Query Optimization and tuning
• Detailed problem-solving, documentation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage time and projects, work within multiple (Technical/Business) environments, and provide training to end users
