As many of you know, YAYA is the Youth & Young Adult Network of the National Farmworker Ministry. We are a farmworker solidarity group who work alongside farmworkers by supporting the campaigns they are leading. Approximately 85% of the fresh food we eat is picked by a farmworker, so if you're eating, show your thanks. We are having a YAYA benefit show this Friday to raise money so we can continue doing the work we do.

For those of you not on Facebook, it is happening THIS Friday, June 15th, 7PM at Taste in College Park. The address is:
717 W. Smith Street, Orlando, FL 32804.
There will be a $5 cover charge which is totally worth it because we have some AMAZING performers set up to play music, do some comedy (one of our YAYA members does awesome social justice standup!) and beautiful spoken word. There will also be a raffle with some fantastic prizes.

We have been doing a lot of fundraising to work toward immersion trips. One of our large projects is working with the Farmworker Association of Florida office in Fellsmere who has an amazing community garden project going on. We also do bike deliveries in farmworker communities for both the adults & youth and do trainings about knowing your rights. Coming out to this benefit show will help us to continue doing this work and we need your support!
