Configuration and Release Manager
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 3 + Months
Configuration and Release Management
• Provides detailed records and controls on Open API's hardware, software, and application configurations.
• Identifies, documents, and verifies the following:
- Software and application versions for all depending system, subsystems, components, and libraries.
-The hardware, software, application, and systems are deployed and configured correctly.
-The systems are fine tuned to perform within the requirement of the application.
-The application instances are configured correctly.
• Facilitates change management on hardware, software and application.
• Ensure that the physical design and implementation of the hardware, software and application are accurate.
Skill Requirements
• 2-3 years of Configuration and Release Management Experience
• Preferred full lifecycle experience where candidate had participated in the processes from the inception to the deployment of a software product, or application.
• Able to work in Unix environment. Candidate must have experience in working with Unix shell.
• Programmed in Unix shell scripting environment - bash, csh, ksh, etc.
• 2-3 years' experience in deploying and supporting Java server application to major Application Server. Application Server like Web Logic is a plus.
• Provided production support for Java based server side applications. At least 2+ years.
• Able to work with platform service team who own the deployed physical environment.
• Worked with PM/Architect/Developer Lead in communicating the state and status of the system, hardware, software, and application.
Additional Information
Must be willing to travel to Milwaukee, WI as needed
