A friend of mine just went through a training in Pittsburgh to become a facilitator of a Resilience Circle. Have you ever heard of this? http://localcircles.org/
I think it's a fascinating concept because it addresses a LOT of the issues we've discussed-- social action, alternative economies, environmental issues-- and presents a sort of guide to getting started, resources, etc. I think several members of the PBJ community have expressed an interest in building a community in a more concrete way but realized there are a lot of variables in interest and capacity for commitment and knowing where to start. I think this could be a really helpful and interesting model.
Anyway, check out the link and let me know what you think!
Paz,
Katie
