Job Description:

• Ability to use software tools, languages, scripts and shells required for effective support of the database enterprise.
• Ability to work independently on technical functions associated with creating and maintaining databases in one or more computing environments
• Solid understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts.
• Experience in writing database related queries, developing and implementing stored procedures
• Full knowledge of SQL including programming and ways to optimize SQL code.
• Expert in SQL-Server with a solid knowledge of RDBMS-specific tool and utility knowledge and experience in such areas as monitoring, database migration, DDL management and replication.
• Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle.
• A sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning.
• Experience in Oracle database administration a plus.

Hiring Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor or technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related discipline is required.
• Minimum of 3- 7 years hands-on experience installing, configuring, tuning, and troubleshooting SQL Server 2008/2005 databases and one or more DBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) is required.
• Database administration certification a plus.
