Job Title: .Net(Web Developer)

Job Location: Bergen County, NJ

Duration: 2 months Contract

 

Job Description-

Support Client web site. Responsible for day to day server  responsibilities as well as custom programming, and work flow management  The Web Developer will be responsible for the maintenance and administration of the  Bergen Community College website including hands-on technical Web  Developer/Designer responsibilities to develop, design and propose changes to the web  site. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: - day-to-day care of web content,  including photos, video, webcasts, podcasts and other media; - collaborating with the  Communications Director to design and create new web pages; - leading the planning,  development, design, and implementation of new web applications; - ensuring a visually  consistent site by adhering to relevant standards, guidelines and policies and promoting  uniform fonts, formatting, icons, images and layout techniques; - implementing strategies  for front-end experience, site structure/information architecture, and back-end technical  resources; - working with the web content managers to maintain content, develop new  pages and sites, enhance functionality and ensure cross-browser and cross-device pages and sites, enhance functionality and ensure cross-browser and cross-device  quality of the school's online content; - creating high quality web graphics and responsive  design templates; - training faculty and staff to use web technologies; - assessing new  standards, technologies and trends, and using that information to recommend strategies  and techniques for enhancing the web site; - issuing periodic reports of site traffic to  improve search engine optimization; ensuring site is ADA compliant on multiple platforms  and browsers; - recommending changes to existing functions, systems, processes and  implementing new ones to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the web site and new  media communications; - ensuring the Bergen web site features cutting-edge functionality  and user-centered design, such as including an intranet or secure-access portions of the  web site; - performing additional duties as assigned.

 

Mandatory Skills-

High level of programming proficiency in DNN (Dot Net Nuke) Required 2 Years

Experience with SQL Server RDMS Required 3 Years

Proficiency with IIS Webserver Nice to have 2 Years

Proficiency with ASP.NET Required 2 Years

Experience with MS Sharepoint (webpart development and sharepoint admin) Highly desired 1 Years

Familiar with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Highly desired 1 Years

Experience migrating websites Required 1 Years

Experience with Electronic Forms Solution (Dynamic Forms from NextGen Web Solution) Highly desired 1 Years

Experience with PHP, HTML 5, JavaScript Required 3 Years

Experience with XML, XHTML Nice to have

Adobe PhotoShop, AdobeFlash, Illustrator, Nice to have

Experience with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) Required 2 Years
