Role: Java Developer with JDK and MQ skills

Location: Cedar Rapids, IOWA

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 12 months contract

Client :  TCS

Rate : $44 on c2c

Consultant should have at least 6+ years of experience

Job Description :

Roles and responsibility:

Writing application code and development activities for large projects especially in environment with EJB, Spring, JSF, Struts.

Ability to write/analyze the sql queries/procedures,JPA Entities

Knowledge of using MQ (producer and consumer).

Fosters and encourages solution reuse within Business Units and at the Enterprise level

Able to work with Eclipse (Integrated Development Environment) and able to use source code repositories (like CVS/SVN) from within Eclipse

Experience working in an Agile development environment

Able to handle customer communication and reporting status to management as required

 

Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills:

 

*     J2EE
§  JDK (1.7)
§  JSF / Struts
§  Hibernate / JPA
§  MQ
§  EJB Basics ( MDB annotations)
§  Oracle

Preferred Technical / Functional Skills:

• Experience Delivering End to End Solutions in the Enterprise Space
• Can communicate clearly and excellently with a wide variety of people / functions
• Ability to work with the team and the business to identify business problems and design excellent solutions
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
• Proven ability to prototype and develop in short cycles
• Excellent intuition as to how to design and implement distributed systems for Enterprise use
• Ability to work well independently
• Ability to develop use cases and software test plans
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to learn new technologies, software, and concepts quickly is essential
• Ability to work productively and efficiently in an agile environment
• Proven ability with R&D activities
