Job Title:  Technical Writer III (Infrastructure Projects)

Location: Morris Plains, NJ - should be flexible to work from Raritan, NJ once in a week.

Duration: Long Term

 

Detailed Job Description:

 

An individual responsible for technical writing (applications, systems, infrastructure, processes), research, and related editing functions to prepare business proposals, reports, manuals, briefings and presentations, guidelines, and other written materials. 7+ years of experience.

Create required compliance based documentation for the Installation and Operational Qualification (IQ/OQ) of network devices. 
Tasks and responsibilities
• Using predefined templates for IQ/OQ and supporting evidence, populate required information using various sources 
• Ping network devices, capture results via screen shots, and paste as evidence
• Login into management appliance, navigate to device, take screen shots, and paste as evidence
• Accurately assemble required information into Microsoft Word documents and conversion to Adobe PDF format
• Use EDMS (Qumas Electronic Document Management System) to generate templates for IQOQ and evidence files.
• Establish workflows in EDMS to route documents for review and approval
• Help ensure the documents are routed through the system for review and approval including follow-up with reviewers and approvers 
Required skills and abilities
• Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize and execute work effectively
• Must possess excellent written skills to create accurate compliance documentation, attention to details a must
• Communicate effectively via email and verbally
• Ability to work closely with multiple project team members globally
• Ability to work with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, Adobe PDF, and document management system (Qumas)
• Familiarity with asset/CMDB and change management systems such as ServiceNow
• Ability to work effectively under pressure/tight deadlines

Nice to have skills:
• Familiarity with Monitoring systems such as SCOM, Netcool etc.
