Dr Mohamed Mahmoud El-Gamasy – the secretary of the International Council of Human Rights, Arbitration, Politics and Strategic Studies ICHAPS - decided to extend the period of the vote of the Most Influential Figures in the World 2013 till the first of July. Such vote is regarded as the largest one all over the world; as it contains 9 categories; each of them includes the most prominent figures worldwide. It's worth mentioning that a lot of American figures in politics, human rights, sports, art and music are competing in the vote. The Medal of Excellence is considered to be the greatest humanitarian award in the world and it's presented by the International Council of Human Rights, Arbitration, Politics and Strategic Studies in cooperation with Waldenburg International College.  From his part, Dr Mohamed Mahmoud El-Gamasy assured that the period of the vote shall be extended. Dr El-Gamasy is the secretary of the International Council of Human Rights, Arbitration, Politics and Strategic Studies; in addition he is the ambassador at large of the Diplomatic Mission to Revive World Peace and the Secretary General of the Committee supervising granting the Medal.

 

Dr. El-Gamasy referred that the candidate list includes leaders and senior politicians, actors and musicians, leading figures in the development and the field of economics and business, peace and human rights activists, intellectuals, scientists, writers, sport heroes and top chefs who have had a prominent role in influencing the course of events or in creating a cultural climate and development and those who left their mark on a lot and formed a new awareness.

 

The Category of Leaders and Senior Politicians includes such a significant group who played a distinguished role in directing the events and drawing the course thereof like: the American president Barack Obama, the French president Francois Hollande, the former Russian president Vladimir Putin, the Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Egyptian president Dr. Muhammad Morsi, the British prime minister David Cameron, the Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad,  Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani the Emir of Qatar, the king of Saudi Arabia Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Saud, the Tunisian president Moncef Marzouki, the Jordanian King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein, the Afghani president Hamid Karzai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Moroccan king Mohammed VI, the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the Omani Sultan Qaboos, the Korean president Kim Jong Un and others.
