Job Description:
Previous experience creating and deploying new or revised large/complex (e.g., more than 20 pages) .NET web sites, .NET web application programming, ASP.NET, AJAX within the context of ASP.NET.
Experience programming with Visual Studio 2010/2013 IDE either to create ASP.NET web-applications (C#) or Visual Basic to create desktop applications or C# to create desktop applications
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Windows Server management, T-SQL, web services provisioning and consumption techniques (i.e. WSDL, SOAP etc.), IIS7/8 administration; relational database design; knowledgeable in the
use of XML and object oriented programming techniques in the context of Visual Basic, utilize source control via Team Foundation Server (TFS); experience with tracking status of work items in TFS.
Create ASP.NET pages and master-pages; add web server controls, create user controls, and HTML code for ASP.NET pages; implement navigation for the user interface (knowledge/experience with AJAX is a plus);
validate user input; implement error handling in the user interface; implement online user assistance; incorporate existing code from other sources into ASP.NET pages; display and update data; instantiate and
invoke web services or components; handle events; implement accessibility features; and use intrinsic objects such as HTTP response, request, session, server, and application.
Access and manipulate data from SQL Server 2008/2012 by creating and using ad hoc queries and stored procedures; and access and manipulate data from stores via ADO.NET.
Create unit test plans; implement tracing; and debug, rework, and resolve defects in code.
Plan the deployment of web applications; create setup programs that install Web applications and allow them to be uninstalled; deploy web applications; and add assemblies to the global assembly cache.
Optimize the performance of web applications; diagnose and resolve errors and issues.
Configure web applications; configure security for Web applications; configure authorization; configure and implement caching; configure and implement session state; and install and configure server services.
