Experience (Years) 6-8
Essential Skills
• At least 5 years experience in build/release engineering, and configuration management
• Strong familiarity with software configuration management systems and source code version control systems, TFS, Git and SCLM experience highly desired
• Solid knowledge of RDBMS. Programming knowledge with exposure to Visual Studio IDEs and .NET environments, Java and Websphere
• Expansive experience of continuous integration systems in Jenkins, Maven, Ant+Ivy, etc…
• Must have experience with a variety of build systems such as Gradle, Make, CMake, etc…
• Experience in architecting release engineering, configuration management, software development or related discipline
• Engineer with experience in all phases of build and release: build, CI/CD, and developer tools deployment
• Proficient in MS Build and/or Urban Code Deploy for automated Build-Release processes
Desirable Skills
• Responsible for automating builds and regression testing
• Serve as the technical champion for Build/Release Engineering practices across the organization
• Perform with development teams to identify build schedule and initiate packaging and build process
• Design, document, implement, and maintain scripts to enhance current build/release processes
• Setup continuous integration for complex programs, including database integrations
• Design, manage and execute tools and scripts to develop different versions of products on wide-range operating systems • Work side-by-side with development and testing teams to keep the builds clean and build quality into the products using automated unit and regression tests
• Participate in the improvement, documentation, communication and enforcement of build/release engineering processes for software applications
• Perform as technical liaison for Engineering Excellence and Operations on every aspect associated with final builds and control baseline issues
• Maintain and manage close interpersonal and professional work relations with internal clients and peers
