Description
Evaluates business systems and how they align with user needs. Documents requirements, establishes scope and objectives and determines strategy for implementing systems that achieve business goals. Relies on extensive knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals. May offer consultation to senior management and often serves as the top-level expert in the field. Manages others. Significant ingenuity and flexibility is required. May require a bachelor�s degree in a related area and 7 or more years of relevant experience.
Position Responsibilities:
The position requires a blend of light agile project management / scrum master and business analysis experience in an Agile environment. You will work on the Mobile Development team, with two primary responsibilities: 1) assisting the Agile Program Manager Scrummaster in day-to-day processes, tracking, and follow-up, and reporting to keep development and testing focus on on top priorities. 2) working under the direction of the Business Analyst Lead as an agile analyst grooming new stories and performing quality assurance testing. Heavy emphasis on the ability to coordinate with project leadership, project teams, and external technical teams, to understand day-to-day work priorities, track agile metrics, and help communicate these to the team and stakeholders. Also, the ability to communicate with business owners and prepare user stories that can be executed by the development team.m. Required: Light project / scrum master experience and experience as senior business analyst for agile projects creating user stories for development of a mobile application; agile reporting experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to learn quickly (business processes, technologies specific to project, etc). Pluses: hospitality experience, web services integration experience Business Analysis • Collaborate with cross-functional teams comprised of product management, user experience, technology, testers, and other subject matter experts to gather and analyze information needs and functionality requirements, dependencies and impacts, business and technical approach options, and to facilitate user story development for mobile apps with external system integrations • Create and Understand project and/or product business goals and daily tasks • Work with the project leadership (Program Manager, Product Manager, Business Analyst and development leads) to ensure that work is prioritized in alignment with business needs • Track and report team metrics • Ggroom stories for development, including definition of data requirements, system configuration, content, third party system inputs/outputs, reporting, etc • Facilitate and perform QA of mobile application as user stories are completed, as well as assist with final QA prior to release • Plus: Working with Jira Agile Scrum Master / Agile PM • Understand project and/or product business goals and daily tasks • Work with the project leadership (Program Manager, Product Manager, Business Analyst and development leads) to ensure that work is prioritized in alignment with business needs • Track and report team metrics • Experience with Jira Agile is a plus Personal Skills • Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environment as a business analyst (3+ years) • Experience working as Agile Scrummaster / project manager (6 mo+) • Strong organizational skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Self-starter/self-directed • Able to learn and apply new concepts quickly (e.g. business processes, technologies, etc) • Basic to advanced skills in Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
