Position Title: Cloud Architect
Duration:- Long Term Contract
Location: El Segundo, CA

Job Description:  

We are looking for self-motivated cloud architects seeking a high-growth potential in defining and implementing customized cloud-architectures for enterprise customers in diverse industry verticals. Focus on taking a customer's existing applications and infrastructure assets, couple them with business, technology, operational constraints and derive optimal cloud-hosting solutions using standard solution methodologies and analytics platforms.

Responsibilities:

·        Business development and strategic delivery on Cloud platform.

·        Conduct workshops for the customers to identify potential areas for PoC development

·        Identify potential use cases and develop Solutions, offerings on Cloud platform

·        Analyze , Design / Architect, Drive Proof of Concept (POC) and Proof of Technology (POT) evaluation on interoperable technology platforms

·        Collaborate with other technology teams, CTO teams to define the roadmap for cloud and drive the rigor across cloud computing platform

·        Focus on cloud competency development and build latest capabilities within the team

·        Support presales solution activities for Cloud based RFPs

·        Participate and take an active part in cloud communities through seminars,  white papers, blogs, analyst interactions and stay up to date with industry cloud computing trends

Qualifications:

Technical: Must have:

·        Architecture-knowledge of Infrastructure-as-a-Service components (Server, Storage, Network, Network Security, IaaS-Management Tools)

·        Minimum 14 years of hands-on experience with one or more of the  Virtualization Technologies - VMware, Microsoft, Red Hat

·        Detailed understanding and usage of one of the commercially available Public IaaS solutions – AWS, Azure, Open Source options (ex: Open Stack, Cloud Stack and Eucalyptus)

·        Ability to  architect Cloud Solutions  on Azure or AWS  with a Framework focusing on Performance, Availability, Reliability and Security Compliance

·        Hands-on experience with a breadth of technologies across operating systems, application servers, database and middleware infrastructure – being comfortable with both Linux and Windows environments is required

·        Experience with at least two enterprise infrastructure transformation projects involving the Private IaaS or Hybrid IaaS as 'target states'

·        Detailed technical knowledge of Software Defined Data-Center (SDDC) or Software Defined Networking (SDN) Solutions

·        Ability to design high availability applications on AWS or Azure across availability zones and availability regions

·        Experience with Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible is a plus

Nice to have:

·        Knowledge of leading-edge Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions and architectures, as well as transformation opportunities and requirements to develop Enterprise PaaS and SaaS offerings

·        Reputed technical blog-author (if yes, please include your URL)

·        Reputed industry publications (ex: IEEE standards, technical papers in reputed journals, vendor-publications and technical white-papers)

·        Experience working in multiple geographies within and outside USA

·        Prior work-experience with Indian multi-nationals and/or Indian IT Services companies

·        Ability to travel 25-50% of your work-time

Non-Technical: Must have:

·        Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical professionals.

·        Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.

·        Ability to work individually and effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.

·        Have a professional sense of ownership and accountability in conjunction with strong technical leadership skills  Influencing , driving and utilizing team-work to achieve results

Nice to have:

·        Familiarity with project management and systems development life cycle processes, tools, concepts and methodologies is plus.
