Unix/Linux Admin

Location: Portland, OR

Duration: 6 months+

No. of Positions :  2

Detailed JD for support engineers as below

  

• The successful candidate will have more than 5 years of the experience in the IT support for SW development and have the following skills:
• Advanced knowledge of UNIX system administration on Linux and one or more platforms (AIX, HPUX, Solaris)
• Knowledge of Linux systems administration
• Knowledge of Web server software tools such as Apache Tomcat*, Java J2EE, Microsoft IIS
• Knowledge of MS Windows Server* systems administration
• MS SQL Server administration
• Demonstrated programming experience in UNIX shell, Perl and Visual Basic
• Clearly demonstrated technical documentation skills (requirements test plans, procedures)
• Clearly demonstrated communication skills
• Working knowledge of networking concepts and infrastructure (TCP/IP, client/server architectures)
• Working knowledge of server virtualization
• Unix/Linux Admin having expertise on web servers like Tomcat, Apache and exp on java.

In addition to the above, have 3 or more of the following:

  

• Experience as an active user or administrator of any of the SW design tools above
• Programming experience in Python
• Operational knowledge of Intel manageability and monitoring architectures and tools
• Experience with Agile methodology and tools
• Operational knowledge of MS SQ Server Integration Services* or/and MS SQL Reporting Services.
