Title: Data Architect

Location: Office out of Richardson, TX – but Travel almost all of the time

Duration: 6+ months

Job Description:

·         Client is currently looking for a resources with strong past background in data architecture.

·         A large scale data migration project is underway from one service provider to another.

·         As part of that data will be extracted from the source systems, transformed and loaded into the target systems

 

·         We are looking for data architects who are expert in Telco network inventory and local plant data

·         Previous experience with data modeling related to one of the Client products: ELCOM, LFACS, MARCH, NSDB, SWITCH, TIRKS, Transport Element Manager (previously known as TEMS), WFA/C, WFA/DI, ARIS/EXACT, FORCE, Granite, LEIS, NPM/EMAS, SNAM, Workflow Director (previously known as Exception Manager)

·         Primary responsibilities include lead data mapping, modeling, transformation rules, creates data migration architecture, data validation, data cleansing, data integrity checks, build requirements specification

 

Day to day activities include:

·         Analyze extracted data

·         Review source data models

·         Analyze target data models

·         Identify mappings & transformation rules

·         Build requirement specifications

·         JAD sessions with M6 and DPI technical resources

 

Deliverables for this roles include:

·         Data requirements specifications

·         Data Mapping & data model

·         Transformation rules

·         Describe naming standards

·         Validates data scripts

·         Lead data integrity

·         Supports data cleansing

·         Overall migration strategy & architecture
