DevOps Engineer
Locations: San Francisco, CA
Position Type: 6+month
The DevOps Engineer will be part of the Technical Operations team and will closely interact with the existing Network, Systems and Application teams. You will be responsible for the build, deployment, and debugging of systems supporting development projects. You will have networking knowledge as well as background in engineering. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, systems design and configurations, deployment management, security, scripting, uptime monitoring and performance metrics.

Exceptional problem solving skills and professional savvy when interacting and responding with other teams. - Responsibilities
Designing, implementing, supporting, monitoring and maintaining large-scale development environments mimicking production. - Develop and maintain systems management software tools, procedures, and documentation
- Develop and maintain applications, tools and scripts for 24x7 hosted environments
- Ops Systems design and Configurations, and Deployment Management
- Analyze system and application architecture to ensure that all requirements are met
- Evaluate and select tools and technologies needed for efficient support of the systems
- Automate common maintenance, deployment and build jobs
- Collaborate with teams to ensure proper testing, configuration, and deployment
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
8+ years of experience with the following skill sets…
- Experience with systems administration and automation in LINUX/UNIX environment
- Systems programming using some of these languages: Ruby, Python, Shell, Java or Perl
- Standard Linux stack applications such as web servers (Apache/nginx/etc), shell scripting, NFS, mail servers, name servers, etc
- Experience with infrastructure automation/configuration management tools
- Cloud management and orchestration software (CloudStack, OpenStack, vCloud Director, etc)
- Experience with advanced VMWare features such as VMotion, DPS, auto-provisioning and the VMWare API
- Experience with NetApp storage array management and advanced features such as VMWare integration, flexclone, snapmirror and the NetApp command line.
- Experience with fiberchannel storage including FC networking, zoning and performance tuning
- Experience with network security including architecture, firewall devices, F5 and Juniper devices
- Experience with blade systems
- Great communicator: able to persuade dev and systems group to use certain tools
- Ability to learn, implement and explain new tools and technologies quickly
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
