Title:Sr. Web Developer

Location:Miami, FL

Duration:12 months

 

MUST HAVE:

·         5-7 years experience coding:

o   Distributed Internet/eCommerce applications that support high traffic websites

o   Programming complex database-backed web sites

·         5-7 years ASP.NET and C# programming experience including:

o   ASP.NET MVC

o   Web Form and Razor View Engine

o   Caching, session state, cookie management, view state, POST and GET

o   JavaScript, jQuery and other emerging client side development technologies

·         Waterfall and Agile development methodology

·         Experience with Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5 and 4.0 including:

o   WCF and web services

o   AJAX and JSON

·         Experience with various types of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) techniques including:

o   Interfaces, inheritance and how they are used

o   Classes and functions and in what layer they should be placed

o   Solid understanding of the DRY principle (that is "Don't Repeat Yourself" or don't copy code but reuse code

·         Other advanced programming techniques:

o   Inversion Control/Dependency Injection framework such as Microsoft Unity or StructureMap

o   Test Driven Development

o   Designing DB structures and strong DB development skills

o   Experience with debugging tools

o   Experience with performance testing

·         Strong Experience with Continuous Delivery Tools and Processes including:

o   CI/CD (Jenkins, TeamCity, etc.)

o   Expert in a scripting language (Python/Powershell)

o   Experience with Configuration Management systems (Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible, etc.)

o   Experience with releasing packaged software for embedded, enterprise or cloud systems

o   Strong knowledge of artifact repository systems (Nexus, Artifactory) and artifact promotion processes

o   Experience with one or more of the following build systems: make, cmake, boost, ant, maven, sbt, gradle

o   Proficient in Git.  Experience with Git Flow is a plus.

o   Must be able to describe experience automating build and release systems

 

NICE TO HAVE:

·         Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, Ganglia, Nagios, Icinga, NewRelic, Sumo, Loggly, etc.)

·         Strong knowledge of git branching best practices

·         Experience deploying applications to public cloud systems i.e. Azure, AWS, Rackspace, Google Cloud Platform

·         Knowledge of Golang

·         Understanding of the NodeJS build system

·         Experience building Docker containers for i.e. cloud environment or creating a repeatable dev environment
