SW VT engineer

Minneapolis MN

 Skills Required

SW VT: Experience developing Python scripts for real time embedded software, preferably ARM processors using Micro O/S2, including

·          Performing equipment decomposition

·          Writing test plan and test reports

·          Writing "black box" test cases to thoroughly verify software requirements

·          Creating test scripts to automate test cases

·          Performing code review or code inspections

·          Troubleshooting issues

·          Creating descriptive problem reports

·          Designing, implementing and validating test environment, including hardware and software

·          Documenting all activities

·          Experience with secure coding practices and vulnerability assessment

·          Excellent verbal and written communication skills         

·          Experience with communication protocols such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or TCP/IP

·          Experience with Medical device software processes, such as IEC 62304

·          Experience working with a geographically dispersed software team

 

Desired candidate profile

·          '4-6 years of experience.

·          Experience developing Python scripts for real time embedded software, preferably ARM processors using Micro O/S2

·          Strong knowledge of software design, development, debugs and test practices.

·          Strong oral and written communication skills.

·          Strong leadership skills and mentoring capabilities.

·          Ability to work in a team environment.

 

Responsibilities include:

·          Creating Software Design Specs

·          Writing and executing unit tests

·          Writing and creating integration tests

·          Using debuggers to step through code execution

·          Performing static analysis

·          Performing code review or code inspections

·          Troubleshooting issues

·          Refactoring and optimizing code

·          Using Secure coding practices

·          Documenting all activities

·          Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·          Experience with communication protocols such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or TCP/IP

·          Experience with Medical Device SW development

·          Experience working with a geographically dispersed software team
