Role Description

  • Act as a PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) Product Specialist and Production & Operations Support Manager.

  • Manage the State's relationship with its ERP Managed Services Providers (MSP), and ensure that SLA's and other performance metrics are met.

  • Drive collaboration with key Business, internal Infrastructure, MSP, Security, and other critical stakeholder organizations to ensure that the ERP HCM application operates efficiently in support of business operations calendars.

  • Lead identification, triage, troubleshooting and reporting of production issues and problems in the ERP HCM application

  • Consult with the Business and MSP on critical aspects of break/fix approaches and planned enhancements.

  • Bring research and recommendations to the ERP team to continually improve the current HCM application and operations support.

  • Work to understand customer issues and communicate these issues to ERP support personnel/organizations.

  • Maintain and follow operations processes.

  • Proactively identify and implement service improvements in operational delivery processes.

  • Help drive MSP performance improvements

 

Relevant Experience

Mandatory:

  • 3+ years of PeopleSoft ERP Operations Management.

  • 5+ years of PeopleSoft Human Capital Management product experience – version 9.X Core HRMS (Payroll, Core HR, Compensation, Employee and Manager Self Service, Benefits, Time & Labor, and Position Management)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Large/complex organization experience

  • Application management/outsourcing experience – preferably onshore – in a leadership role

 

Preferred:

  • Public Sector experience

  • Ability to interface and resolve issues across all levels of an organization

  • Upgrade and/or application patch, bundle, or image experience

  • Experience working with, or as a part of, a Tier-One System Integrator firm providing PeopleSoft/Oracle professional services 

 

Preferred Education

  • 4 year college degree

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • PeopleSoft Human Resources 9 Consultant Certified Expert

The Ohio Department of Transportation Division of Information Technology is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist 4(HCM focus) to fulfill an assignment through FY2017

Local candidates and onsite interviews

 

20% of Total Work Effort: Candidate will be responsible for overseeing the HCM implementation testing effort (must have 5+ years of experience with large-scale PeopleSoft HCM design as well as implementation)

20% of Total Work Effort: Candidate should have proven work experience participating in Business Process Design workshops (will be responsible for transitioning results into requirements)

40% of Total Work Effort: Candidate will be coordinating test tasks (candidate should have proven work experience in all phases of testing, review, coordination, and confirmation of results)

Education:

4 year Bachelor's degree with a concentration in instructional technologies, instructional design, organizational training, corporate education, or equivalent; a Master's degree is preferred.
