Job Title:                 Automation QA ( With Restful API)

Location:                 Charlotte, NC

Duration:                 Long Term

MAX RATE $45/hr C2C 

 

Job Description

• Responsible for test and develop REST API schema.

• Generate swagger and other API documentation.

• Develop automated acceptance and unit test for the agile team

• Work with Jenkins and CI tools to automate dev, build, deployment and testing

• Design and write formal test plans and test specifications to address API Component & system integration test

• Partner with business and development partners to create detailed test plans and validation strategies

• Supports adoption of agile and shift-left practices and execute Agile BDD/TDD

• Execute continues integration test flow and communicate to project stakeholders

• Review & enhance gherkin test scenarios and test script, create and execute API Java test script

• Contribute to efficient and effective program and system solutions in solving medium-complex business problems

• Ensure quality standards and principles are used throughout the development lifecycle

• Hands-on experience in JMeter & Performance Center

• Review System Performance Test plan & script and oversee performance test execution.

 

 

Responsibility:

• Define QA standards, processes and methodologies including requirements traceability and test coverage

• Work with the business to design, build, and test modern RESTful services

• Engage in agile development (SCRUM) practices including story creation, backlog grooming, story splitting, acceptance criteria creation, estimation, sub task creation, burndown, daily standup, demos, retrospectives…etc.

• Collaborate with product owners to detect requirement ambiguities

• Monitor progress and quality throughout the development process & recommend continuous test process improvement

• Establish a defect management process

• Establish Quality metrics to measure quality and track progress

• Review cross-functional testing coverage to ensure integration coverage

• Partner with project manager and technical lead to review client-provided documentation and determine testing strategy

• Incorporate exploratory tests on user stories, communicates risk, identify regression scenarios for automation, mentors non-testing project team members on testing

• Create, update and publish test artifact i.e. Test Strategy, Test Plan, Traceability, Test Cases and result 

• Leverage ALM & automation tools during development process such as Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Gradle, GitHub, Sonar, HP Fortify

• Work with test engineers during, review test cases and provide continues feedback

• Ensure test coverage & signoff
