Summary Of Position:
The Sr. Power Builder Developer position is responsible for working on development projects in the Technology Solutions department.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform System Design/Coding on feature development projects for legacy client/server applications.
Responsible for doing unit testing and Integration testing for the modules developed and maintains program code. Design reports, audit trails/logs, security mechanisms
Work with MIS staff to plan program code implementation, enhancements and changes to the existing Power Builder applications.
Interacts with system architects and developers to ensure business system features are properly implemented.
Required Skills:
· Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science.
· Minimum of 6 years' experience working in an IT or associated technical role.
· Strong development skills in Power Builder 12.5 and Sybase on UNIX. Must have worked on PB projects in the last 2 years.
· Exposure to .Net development a plus.
· Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving ability and strong critical thinking skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Power Builder development skills are a must.
· Should have current PB skills.
· No direct management of people. Mainly individual contributor
· Will mainly interact with Project Manager and client directors and in some cases Business users and offshore development teams.
· High Complexity / Problem Solving
· High Accountability.
80% Development of functional features using PowerBuilder and Sybase technologies
20% Interacting with business users, project managers, offshore teams on project process and work product reviews
