Position: Sr. Java Developer

Location: Philadelphia PA

Duration: Long  Term 

MIN: 9+ Years 

Client Comment: We are looking for a Sr. Java Developer for this high profile project. They will be joining a team of Sr. Developers who will be developing Java with Rest API's utilizing the Spring framework. Distributed processing experience with Storm, Spark or NiFi a plus. Big Data experience with Hbase, Cassandra or Dynamo a plus.

 

Description:

Codes software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers. Standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and develops fixes. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 5years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude required. Typically reports to a project leader or manager.

 

Position Comments:     

- 12-15 years as a Senior Java Developer.

- Previous Comcast Experience very highly valued.

- REST API experience is required

- Must be able to come in for a Face-to-Face interview

- Experience developing applications using Tomcat, Spring, Jersey, HaProxy, Maven, Nexus, Jenkins, JUnit, Cloud

• Understanding of relevant software development tools including version control, build processes, debuggers, and test frameworks.

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision

 

Required Experience:

10+ years of Java development experience is required.

Rest API experience is required.

Local candidates are preferred as they will have to come in for a F2F final interview onsite at Comcast after the initial phone screen.

Experience with Tomcat, Soap, JUnit, Splunk, Swagger, Cloud is preferred.
