Job Title: C/C++ Software Engineer(LOCALS)
Location: St Paul,MN.
Duration: 6+ months Contract
INTERVIEW: Phone then Face to Face
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Essential Responsibilities (Specific day-to-day responsibilities and milestones needed to achieve the objectives):
Advanced level development using C, C++, Python, Unix (Solaris), database (Sybase/SQL Server), web services, message queuing, object-oriented design and various securities APIs to create high performance server software for delivering timely securities information to customers. Minimum of 5 years experience overall.
Includes developing expertise in an area of the code and providing information to others on the functionality. Requires the ability to plan and ensure work gets completed with limited oversight.
Minimum experience (amount and type) 5 years, Unix, C/C++, Database.
Technical and/or Functional skills – Unix, C, C++, Python, Database, Mercurial
Understanding of software debugging tools; able to diagnose problems based on core files or examination of a running process
Understanding of profiling tools, examining a running system, and the ability to determine pain points, latency, runaway code, or resource limits
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware a plus.
Experience with financial services a plus.
