Job Description:

 

We are in search of Sr. Automated Tester with at least 6+ years of hands on testing experience. An ideal candidate will have worked in an AGILE environment and have at least a few years of Java development experience.

  

Sr. Automated Tester (also may be classified a Software Development Engineer in Test)

 

Essential Job Functions:

• Must have 2-3 years of significant Agile experience
• Must have Java development experience.  Mid level Java developer skills required.  2 years of experience.
• Must have SQL Backend testing experience
• 2 years integration testing experience
• Create QA Task List in order to meet objectives and deadlines
• Participate in Requirement & Design Doc review session; evaluate requirements & design docs from a quality testability standpoint
• Create Detailed Test Cases for full requirement coverage/traceability
• Execute Test Cases to validation correct functionality of application
• Manage test coverage based on risk analysis
• Document defects and evaluate priority of defect based on overall application functionality
• Coordinate Test Case Reviews with stakeholders are being held as appropriate.
• Perform various types of testing including white box, black box, integration, back-end DB validation, system testing as needed
• Adhere to requirement review, defect writing & test case writing guidelines
• Keep Lead Tester informed of current state of quality and test progress
• Ensure completion of all deliverables within schedule, budget and quality constraints.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis sessions
• Ensure that projects follow prescribed software development life cycle standards.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with project team.
• Help identify obstacles and roadblocks; and offer suggestions to work around obstacles
