Position: Java Developer
Location: San Diego / Carlsbad, CA
Duration: 7 Months Contract

Project Summary:
· The project is a high-end time critical system and the business need is for developers to help maintain the client portals and Services
General Job Duties Required:
· The successful candidate will be a part of a large development team based out of client site, and shall be responsible for development based on the business requirements. Some of these requirements will be to add new functionalities altogether, while others could be to enhance the existing functionality with new features.
· Develop new code and enhance the existing code based on the requirements
· Review the peer's code and provide improvements
· Unit Test the artifacts and provide assistance in system/regression tests
· Bug fixing and debugging of the identified issues with the client or other project teams
· Maintain quality of the deliverables and be able to work with a large team
Requirements:
Hands on skills in
· Java/J2EE development, including
· Spring Framework
· Web Services – SOAP & REST-based
· XML Parsing
· ORM – like Hibernate (JDBC is must)
Web Application Development
· UI – HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Ajax
· JSP/Servlets/JSTL
Development Tools
· Eclipse IDE (Knowledge of JDeveloper is good but not a must)
· Maven
· Tomcat – knowledge of deploying to Tomcat
Database Programming
· SQL development
· Some knowledge of developing Stored Procedures (PL/SQL)
· Understanding performance issues & tuning
Required Qualifications
· Java - J2EE
· Spring Framework with Web Services Experience (SOAP or REST)
· Web Application Development (UI/JSP/Servlets/JSTL)
· Basic Database programming skills (SQL / Stored Procedures)
