QA Team Lead

Location: ROSELAND, NJ

Duration: 6 months +

8-10 years of experience in a quality assurance role with team lead experience – cannot have over 12 yrs of exp
Strong QA Testing background, experience in testing projects dealing with large amount of Data/Data Warehouse ETL projects.
Experience in multiple environments and/or on multiple operating systems (i.e., Windows, Linux, UNIX, etc.) and technologies (.Net, Web technologies, etc.)
Experience in BI Technologies
Proficiency in UI Pixel testing
Proficiency in Excel
Experience in using SQL Developer Tool/TOAD
Experience in implementing various software QA/testing methodologies/best practices.
Experience in developing and executing QA/testing strategy, test plan, test cases and scripts.
Experience building complex SQL queries.
Experience in reviewing Meta data model
Experience in Integration testing
Experience in analyzing, prioritizing, and managing software defects, and effectively working with developers in fixing and closing defects using Defect Tracking tools.
Experience in Automation Tool e.g. Selenium, QTP etc
Excellent understanding of Agile/waterfall software development life cycles (SDLC).
Understanding of Oracle on the backend from a database perspective
Strong written and oral skills and possess strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to move easily between various tasks.

 

Plusses

Any QA certifications
Experience in using COGNOS
Understanding of an ETL environment

 

Day-to-Day

Development, execution and update of test plans/test scripts, test cases that identify serious issues, defects and deviation from user specifications in applications.
Good working knowledge on various testing tools. Specifically experience in Rally and Sharepoint for test case management and defect tracking.
Will act as the technical liason between the testers and management
Testing Database with SQL Queries in Backend.
Execute regression testing; functional testing; impact testing; Report Testing
Experience testing Data Warehouse Applications/Systems with strong SQL scripting experience
