Senior Business Analyst with Data warehouse and Reporting

Duration: 12 Months +

Location:Ohio

Interview: In person

 

The nature of our data is also changing, as data elements are changing purpose and semantics as part of the transition.

This position will work directly with business staff as well as IT analysts in order to:

•Hold functional and data analysis meetings with business staff

•Determine what reports will be required at product release

•Analyze existing data warehouse and operational reports

•Document business reporting requirements

•Communicate functional changes in reports to business staff

•Participate in report design meetings

•Create report design documents

•Participate in data mart design discussions

•Validate report groupings with business staff

•Validate data mapping with business staff

 

Mandatory Skills

 

•10 or more years of experience performing requirement and functional analysis related to Data warehouse and Reporting

•7 or more years of experience facilitating data mapping and analysis meetings with business customers

•2 or more years of experience designing Data warehouse reports

 

Desired Skills

 

•Experience with data warehouse conversion efforts

•Experience with IBM Cognos

•Experience with Oracle RDBMS

•Familiarity with IBM DB2/UDB database(s)

•Knowledge of property and casualty insurance systems

•Knowledge of Ohio BWC

•Skill in the use of organizational tools & methods (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, VISIO, Clarity)

•Ability to quickly adapt to changes and enhancements

 

Projected length of the consultant engagement will be thru 09/30/14. This request end date is 06/30/14 because of our fiscal year ending then.

 

Required

 

- 10 years experience performing requirement and functional analysis related to Data warehouse and Reporting

- 7 years experience facilitating data mapping and analysis meetings with business customers

- 2 years experience designing Data warehouse reports
