Role : Desktop with Control M experience
Location: Bedminster, NJ
Duration: 6 months contract to hire
Level : L1
Job Description :
Experience on any Monitoring tool, for example Tivoli, netcool or any other infrastructure monitoring tool
L1 trouble shooting for Wintel, Unix, Network and storage devices
Minimum 2-3 years' Experience in DC Ops
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
Excellent interpersonal skills
Knowledge of ITIL
ITIL certification will be an added advantage
Good knowledge of MS Excel reporting.
Experience on any infrastructure monitoring tool
Performs the service monitoring and control process across multiple shifts.
Detects service/system deviations using events management console
Validate warning events as part of Event filtering for incident creation.
Perform event correlation.
Reviews and closes Events.
Perform Inter-process handover to create incidents/change/problem tickets.
Consult with SME for guidance whenever required for appropriate decision making
Monitor Control-M GAS for any alerts/failures
Critical batch stream monitoring via Batch Impact Manager for timely completion and monitor job flows.
Escalating job abends to application support team as per abends documentation. Good knowledge on ControlM Calendar's, User Daily's, New Day Process.
Communicate with application team regularly for timely job resolution.
Working with the onsite team for constant support during change/maintenance.
Making changes to the AJF whenever required when requested by the client.
Monitor and action on alerts/failures reported via AS400 MPLUS
Ensuring the AS400 BCV and Non BCV backups start and complete on time.
Working knowledge on tape related error messages for AS400 BCV backups.
Good understanding and working knowledge on subsystems and active jobs.
Replying to the operator intervention messages based on documentation
