{PBJFlorida} Take action on behalf of imprisoned conscientious objector Eyal Yablonko

Conscientious Objector Eyal Yablonko, 18 and a half years old, from Jaffa, has been given a second prison sentence for refusing to serve his conscription in the Israeli army. He attended the Induction Base in Tal-hashomer on 29 July 2013 and was sentenced to 20 days in prison for his refusal and is now in Military Prison No 6 near Atlit. He is expected to be released on 16 August.

Please call for the immediate and unconditional release of Eyal Yablonko, Military ID 205997406

-        Explain that AI considers total or selective objectors to military service for reasons of conscience to be prisoners of conscience when, as in the case of Israel, no alternative civilian service is available;

-        Urge the authorities to bring in an alternative form of service for those people who are unwilling to carry out military service in Israel or the Occupied Territories for reasons of conscience.
