Network Security Admin

 

·         Installs, configures and maintains components of organization's surveillance and access control systems.

·         Surveillance systems include, but are not limited to, cameras, intercoms, radios, network switches, digital video recorders (DVR) and network video recorders (NVR)s, copper and fiber cabling, workstation video walls and viewing stations.

·         Access control systems include, but are not limited to, prison grade electronic door controls and key management systems.

·         This position trains and supports electronic technicians in the ongoing lifecycle management and upkeep of the surveillance and access control systems in prisons, work camps, and some office settings.

·         8 or more years of experience with a variety of workstation, server, and network support provide the basis upon which DOC will build the additional and unique skill set.

·         Strong networking skills and a good understanding of desktop video technology is desirable.

·         Ability to work in a team environment and strong interpersonal skills are a requirement.

·         This position may lead and direct the work of others.

·         A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

·         In addition to strong technical skills this positions requires skills with the documentation of technical systems. Continual budgetary constraints results in DOC's cost sensitivity - bill rate will receive close scrutiny.
