Skill Set:
The manager is looking for someone to take over the day to day optimization of the BI tools and platform. This person will work with the developers and the users. Must know how to use and optimize and administer in a Teradata environment.. this client is currently using Teradat 1310 version and will be upgrading to 1400 or 1410 in 2014. This person will also be involved with the strategy and direction of the BI tools but will not be leading the effort.
Must have People Optimization skills.
Teradat Admin is highly desried.
No DBA type work is involved with this position but will be work with the team.
Must be self sufficient, pro active and take initiative.
Manager wants someone who can make the tools sing and dance!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will be working mainly on Core projects to support the Enterprise Data Warehouse and BI Tool environments. This position will provide the ability for the current Advisor to reduce their involvement in the day to day details of supporting and running the Enterprise Data Warehouse and BI Tools environments and be able to provide more focus on the overall direction and architecture for these environments.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position will require the following: • Develop, maintain and enhance business intelligence solutions to meet the needs of the business users. • Support some of the following tools and their usage by the BI customers (Informatica, DataStage, Cognos, Tableau, Brio, Essbase, SAS and Teradata) • Support the corporate dashboards, reports and company reporting solutions. • Assist end users in the use of Data to satisfy reporting needs. • Consulting with the Portfolio IT Teams and the business users on Ad hoc reporting and data delivery. • Support end users in various business applications. • Document and troubleshoot business intelligence solutions. • Conduct comprehensive testing to ensure compliance with user requirements. Experience Required • Comfortable communicating with non-technical users regarding technical issues. • Ability to solve complex and cross-functional projects spanning multiple technologies and disciplines. • Ability to produce business results in a fast paced environment with minimum direction. • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. • Some overtime may be required. Education • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or MIS, or equivalent experience. Technical Skills • Intermediate working knowledge of database programming SQL (SQL, stored procedures, etc.). • Intermediate experience working with some of the following BI Tools (Informatica, DataStage, Cognos, Tableau, Brio, Essbase, SAS and Teradata)
