Job Description -
10-12 years of experience as Sr. SP Technical Lead on multiple SharePoint 2013 migration projects. Minimum of 3 years managing Microsoft SharePoint in a multi-farm enterprise environment. In depth experience with Collaboration, portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management and Services. Must be proficient at documenting, testing, and evaluating the newly introduced functions and applications and have demonstrated experience in analysis on a large system migration project. Must have senior level knowledge.
• Assist teams in identifying all legacy sites, site permissions, last date accessed to help Content Managers and Leads determine what data will migrate to SharePoint 2013 by performing required migration assessment.
• Create Migration Plan and assist in recommending, plan site design and migration strategies according to best practices.
• Engage in constant interaction with project teams and the project manager. Gather requirements from customer, translate them into business solutions and provide daily status reports
• Perform the migration from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2013 (including custom code), which includes hands on
o Should know to write PowerShell scripts for Pre-upgrade check analysis to be performed and come up documenting the analysis and recommend the approach
o Build and Responsible for site migration for all libraries, lists and documents from user's old sites to new sites for the SharePoint Migration Project.
o Should have experience of migrating features that are used heavily across multiple sites and remapping the references
o Should have hands on dealing with WSPs and deployments of WSP
o Should have experience in migrating custom solutions that are within SharePoint environment and may use site templates
o Understand the structure of the sites, Content underlying and perform migration successfully.
o Experience in all service applications
o Experience of Central Administration features of a SharePoint
• Will be responsible in documenting the approach and maintaining technical documentations
• Lead and actively participate in all phases of the project, engage in discussions and design the migration approach.
• Train Content Managers, provide documentation and skills transfer on SharePoint 2013 as needed.
